Eleven-meter swimming pool arrives by helicopter
It is rare enough for swimming pools to go on journeys: but only very rarely, no more than once or twice a year in the whole of Europe, do they arrive by air freight. At the place of installation near the headquarters of the Kissel company, a narrow path and the distance between the road and the property of the new swimming pool owner did not allow a crane to be set up - the RivieraPool ProPartner Kissel therefore chose the aerial route and organized the administrative act, which was not entirely without effort. Because in addition to all kinds of permits for the flight and road closures, it was also necessary for three trained helicopter pilots to accompany the action on site: Two on the ground for the hitching and unhitching work – and one in the twin-engine machine.
In total, the 11.5 x 3.7 x 1.5 meter plastic pool had to cover a distance of around 200 meters in the air – and then be fitted in with millimeter precision. To ensure that the helicopter's weight limit of 1200 kg including tolerances was not exceeded, the 1160 kg pool was handmade. "An action like this is also a non-everyday experience for us," says Claus Kissel, who personally supervised the work, "and means real precision work for everyone involved, where the highest concentration is required."
