Castle fountain and swimming pool in one

A modern castle fountain in a historical setting that is also a swimming pool: when a fountain and a counter-current system are to be combined in one pool, individual pool design is required. RivieraPool provided the castle owner with a RivieraIndividual pool, the exact unique piece he had envisioned for his castle's parklands.

The self-supporting pool, with its 50 cm thick walls clad in modern bluestone slabs, blends harmoniously into the historical ambience of the castle grounds – and at the same time forms a contemporary contrast in the overall aesthetic. A water fountain shoots up in the middle of the 4 x 10 m pool. When the pool is in swimming mode, this can be deactivated and the counter-current system between the two entry steps is used.

Like all RivieraIndividual pools, the pool is made from a steel construction that is encased in a sandwich construction with rigid PU foam and a high-strength fiberglass composite laminate. This provides the pool with optimal insulation. An automatically extending roller shutter cover protects the pool from leaves and dirt and keeps the pool water warm.

The Individual line from RivieraPool always comes into play when private and public clients want to flexibly design their outdoor or indoor pool in terms of shape, function, and equipment. A team of planners and technicians within the company designs the individual pools entirely according to the clients' ideas, usually in close cooperation with architects and garden designers.

"Through 100% individual planning, we were able to implement the diverse requirements for this water element in historical surroundings: We combined elements of a historical castle fountain with modern bathing facilities and integrated the swimming fountain into the natural conditions of the castle garden," explains Matthias Rosemeyer, Head of the Project Business at RivieraPool. Even shallow water zones, waterfalls, streams or – as in this case, fountains – can be integrated into pool landscapes. Similarly, whirlpools, children's pools, or rehabilitation facilities can be custom-planned, opening up new scope for hotels, leisure pools, or clinics.
