Pool stairs: a question of form and function

Products & Design

Von RivieraPool

Whether pure relaxation or demanding swim training – the use of a pool determines the choice of stairs just as much as design preferences. RivieraPool has various models in its range.

The requirements for a suitable pool entrance can vary greatly and depend on the respective needs of the customers and the selected pool. A sports pool, for example, should offer as much space as possible for swimming, so a side staircase or entry ladder is recommended. Anyone who values relaxation can choose a staircase system with integrated massage nozzles and seating areas, while a small swimming pool can have a space-saving staircase model. In addition to functional aspects such as slip resistance and the correct handrail, design also plays an important role. There are modern, straight-lined entry stairs as well as timeless, classically elegant models. RivieraPool has a total of seven staircase models in its range:

“Kara” – two times four

In the “Kara” model, two opposing staircases lead into the pool. There are four entry steps opposing each other on each side, each 70 cm wide.  This arrangement makes it possible  to utilize the maximum swimming length, even when using the counter-current swimming system installed between the steps.  The first step is in an elevated position, making it easy and safe to reach. All surfaces of the steps are slip-resistant profiled, so there is no risk of slipping. It is also possible to cover the steps with stone slabs to make the pool even more valuable and the transitions even smoother. This staircase system is also available in the “Kara XL” and “Kara XL Ü” models and is offered for the D-Line pool category.

 “Linear” – modern and straight-lined

This staircase system leads into the pool via four generous steps at the head of the pool. This staircase extends across the entire width of the head side of the pool, thereby creating straight lines towards the water and making the pool appear particularly puristic and stylish. Upon request, springs and streams can be integrated on the front end, as well as current and massage systems, which are installed very discreetly. The  “Linear” staircase system is offered for the D-Line pool category and is also available in the “Linear Ü”, “Linear XL” and “Linear XL Ü” models.

 “Ancona” – chic and discreet

This system consists of a straight, five-step staircase that leads into the pool via a corner entrance along the pool wall. The last step ends directly on the pool floor. The steps are equipped with anti-slip coverings that are designed to be particularly wide and deep, enabling the whole foot to step securely onto the surface.   Due to the location of the stairs on the edge of the pool, the maximum swimming length of the pool can be used. At the same time, “Ancona” offers absolute restraint and simple design. This staircase system is also available as an “Ancona Ü” model and is offered for the D-Line and Style pool categories.

 “Classic” – classic, puristic

The “Classic” staircase system is an entry ladder with entry steps made of natural stone and a stainless steel handrail. It thereby enables direct pool entrance via the side of the pool. All stainless steel parts are angular and simply shaped. Thanks to the space-saving entry, the full swimming area of the pool can be used, which also creates the puristic and timeless design of this pool. The model is also available as “Classic Ü”,  “Classic XL” and “Classic XL Ü” and can be installed in the D-Line pool category.

“Modena” – plenty of space for fitness

The “Modena” staircase system offers steps with an integrated seating and lounging area.  The system is designed so that  on the front sides  of the pool edges, four steps and one stainless steel handrail each lead into the pool.  In the middle, the staircase system is completed by two seating and lounging steps. The stairs are located entirely below the water level, so that the seating and lounging steps offer space to relax in the water.  Upon request, current and massage systems can be built into the stairs, which disappear discreetly into the background. The staircase model is also available as “Modena Style”  and “Modena Swim & Fun” and can be ordered for the Style pool category.

 “Rome” – classic and stylish

The “Rome” staircase system has five entry steps that are embedded in a semi-circular  entry area  and become wider from top to bottom. This system offers a generous entrance with curved steps, making the stairs look elegant, noble and timeless. Upon request, a counter-current system can be integrated into the steps. The “Rome” staircase system can be installed in the D-Line and is also available in the “Rome Ü”, “Rome XL” and “Rome XL Ü” models.

 “Wetlounge®” – the water terrace

The “Wetlounge®” staircase system is characterized by a large shallow water zone. This is two meters long (3.7 x 2 m)  and has a water depth of 15 cm.  In this zone, you can relax either directly in the shallow water or on sitting or lounging furniture.  Adjoining the shallow water zone on the right side is a five-step staircase, which enables comfortable entry and at the same time, due to its location on the pool wall, the utilization of the entire pool length. The “Wetlounge®” staircase system can be installed in the D-Line.
