The Lower Saxony Horticultural Show has been running in Bad Essen, and thus also at Ippenburg Castle, for the entire year of 2010. A worth-seeing event with lots of greenery, many ideas, and beautiful gardens.
A pool garden that leaves nothing to be desired: Schloss Ippenburg shows how a modern pool fits into a romantically dreamy setting. Nestled in a fairytale castle garden, it combines the desire for outdoor wellness with the need for naturalness and an artistic flair.
Since the summer of 2009, the castle garden has shown a completely new facet: water as a modern design element now enriches the garden. Thus, the seemingly unthinkable was realized: a modern swimming pool in the immediate vicinity of the castle - sleek, classic, puristic. It could hardly be more contrastive. The way this modern pool blends into the castle atmosphere and at the same time gives it a new face is impressive.
