GRP: The stuff that pool dreams are made of
Company
Von RivieraPool
A high-tech material ensures that RivieraPools provide joy of swimming for many years: the prefabricated pools are manufactured from glass-fiber reinforced plastics (GRP). Because it is robust, highly durable, easily moldable, and at the same time lightweight, the material is used not only in swimming pool construction but also in airplanes, ships, and wind turbines.
A fiber-reinforced plastic, GRP for short, is a modern composite material: At RivieraPools, the synthetic resin epoxy-acrylate is reinforced by glass fibers. By combining two materials, GRP also unites the advantages of both materials - the chemical resistance of epoxy-acrylate and the high strength of glass. This makes the prefabricated pools waterproof, extremely weather-resistant and insensitive to frost and heat. Since GRP materials are also particularly lightweight and easy to mold, they are predestined for swimming pool construction.
The glass-fiber reinforced plastic is sprayed as a thick material in several layers onto a production mold where it hardens – this process is also called sandwich construction. Incidentally, company founder Josef Rengers was the first manufacturer in 1970 to produce a plastic pool from a single piece – and thus launched an absolutely waterproof pool on the market.
Seven layers – one unit
The pool bodies of RivieraPool prefabricated swimming pools consist of seven material layers, each of which performs a specific function. The first two layers on the inside of the pool ensure a color-stable, low-maintenance and skin-friendly pool: The first high-density color carrier layer, which is available in various shades, is UV-resistant and resistant to many chemicals and cosmetics. The second layer, the fine-cell layer, makes the pool surface smooth and therefore very easy to clean, as microorganisms have no chance on the flat surface. Layers three to five, embedded in epoxy-acrylate, ensure high resistance to osmosis, which means that moisture cannot penetrate the fibers of the plastic. The sixth layer is for insulation and consists of rigid polyurethane (PU) foam, 30 mm in the floor and 20 mm in the walls. This insulation layer ensures good thermal insulation. The seventh, outer layer is for stabilization. Integrated rectangular steel tubes and a standing step give the pool maximum stability.
All technical parts, for example the main drain, massage jets, installation shafts and support edges for the roller shutter and stairs, are specially designed for use in RivieraPools and are molded directly into the pool body. This means the pool is also absolutely waterproof at these points. All components are installed while still at the factory.
Individually customizable
Just like a car, RivieraPools are mass-produced. The experience gained from thousands of manufactured pools continuously flows into development work and the optimization of details. And RivieraPools and cars have one more thing in common: Much like buying a new car, all RivieraPools can be individually customized as system swimming pools. A pool can be put together according to personal preferences from an extensive range of sizes, colors, stairs, handrails and functional technical equipment such as counter-current systems, massage jets or roller shutter covers. This results in hundreds of combination possibilities for a RivieraPool, which thus meets every demand for form and function. Good orientation is provided by the four RivieraPool product lines (D-Line, Classic, Style, MLine), which are tailored to different needs.
The pool is delivered pre-assembled to the construction site. As a result, the installation time and the effort on site are very low, making the entire pool project very precisely schoolable and calculable. A specialized swimming pool contractor installs the pool, connects it and commissions it.

Non-binding. Personal. Project-oriented.
