Pool maintenance

Which devices help with pool maintenance?

Landing nets and brushes are quick helpers for removing coarse dirt from the bath water and from the pool walls: If floating leaves or a junior's chocolate bar have fallen into the water, a landing net within easy reach is highly recommended. A brush is used to remove coarse dirt from the pool walls. The smoother the pool surface (prefabricated pools with an acrylic-smooth surface are ideal here), the easier it is to remove suspended matter – no other care products are required

Sand and small stones lying on the bottom of the pool usually cannot be caught with the landing net. This is where pool vacuum brushes come in handy, which are guided precisely to the dirt and vacuum it up. Specialist retailers offer a wide variety of systems: Semi-automatic floor vacuums are guided to the floor using a telescopic pole. The pool vacuum can be connected to the filter system via a hose and automatically remove dirt.

A pool robot, on the other hand, runs automatically and self-sufficiently over the pool bottom and walls, thus preventing dirt from settling on the bottom in the long term. Pool robots are available in various designs. They can be battery-operated, connected to the mains power supply, or even operated without electricity using the suction power of the filter system. With some models, the dirt is collected directly in a bag or discharged via the skimmer with a floating hose.
