When are overflow channels used?

An overflow channel is usually embedded in the floor around the entire pool and collects overflowing water for cleaning. The water flows back into the pool via nozzles in the pool floor. In contrast to a skimmer system, the pool is filled to the brim with water. While using the pool, there is hardly any wave formation due to the channel - without constantly feeling the reflection of the waves, one can swim laps in peace. In accordance with the pool water treatment regulation DIN 19643, overflow channels are mandatory for public swimming pools and whirlpools.
